Principles
The advantages of a semi-wet process are :
- Possibility to use a cost effective sorbent : CaO
- Higher process efficiency than the conventional dry sorption
- Absence of liquid effluents
- Possibility to add a dry injection process step to improve flexibility and extend the level of performance (3/4 dry process).
Notice : High quality MoL is mandatory. Because of the sensitivity of slaking, the process design and quality of lime are highly important.
